Latest Update: What's New in 2017

Welcome to 2017 everyone! Hard to believe that it is already February! There's a lot going on in our communities right now, so we wanted to take this chance to share some opportunities with you. Be sure to click the highlighted words to be re-directed to more information!

1. The Saskatchewan Arts Board

This month the Saskatchewan Arts Board has posted several job notices for arts-related jobs across the province, as well as sending out a reminder that Independent Artist Grant Applications are due on March 15th!

2. Dancing Sky Theatre Survey

Dancing Sky Theatre is looking for your input on what their next workshop should be and when you can attend! The link is to a short survey where you can provide this feedback.

3. Magnetic North Theatre Festival- National Planning Committee- Compass Points Program

One emerging artist will be selected to represent the prairie region on the National Planning Committee to plan the Compass Points Program (for emerging artists) at Canada's only national theatre festival! Deadline is February 27th.

4. Persephone Theatre Job Posting

Persephone Theatre is looking for a new General Manager

5. Tarragon Theatre Playwright in Residence

This is a two year paid position to be a playwright in residence at Tarragon Theatre. You will be able to complete this residency while still living in Saskatchewan, as stipulated in the full posting. Deadline to apply is February 15th!

6. Wildfire National Playwriting Competition

Playwrights under 30 are encouraged to submit new work for a workshop process and cash prize!

7. Special Shout Out

We wanted to send a special shout out to Live Five and Ground Cover Theatre for their production of Displaced. It was the first Live Five production to sell out from preview to closing, and is also the play covering the most ground this month as it traveled from Saskatoon to Melfort, Weyburn, and Regina.
