Wide Open Children's Theatre has
two positions available for
Master Puppet Assistants
Building and repairing puppets, props and costumes, setting props and costumes during a production, assisting in puppet choreography. Tasks will include: sewing, gluing, woodwork, sculpture and other techniques. Shadow puppets, table top puppets and hand and rod puppetry will be covered.
Preferred skill set includes:
Sculpture, molding, casting, sewing, painting, paper craft, wood working (familiarity with drills and saws) etc.
Areas of study:
Theatre, Sculpture, Art, Design, Education etc.
30 hours per week, 8 weeks total, must be available 9-4 Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
Pay $11.50/hour, Earliest Start Date: April 30th

Students must be
(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
(c) intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
(d) is a student in a secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP (Quebec only), vocational or technical program;
(e) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and
Refugee Protection Act* and;
(f) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations
*Foreign students are not eligible.
