Behind the Curtain is a promotional initiative for SATP's organizational members (those who produce theatre). In collaboration with Creative Saskatchewan, this program creates sneak peeks & behind-the-scenes looks at theatre productions happening across the province. Our goal is to showcase how your organization is working/collaborating/creating theatre and promote you to a theatre-loving audience. Every show has different demands and needs, and we hope to give our members and the general public a peek “behind the curtain” at the magic of the theatre-making process!
How Behind the Curtain works:
Participating theatres sign an agreement outlining deadlines and action items (including meeting with program lead - Jen, creating a project schedule that works with both parties, and reviewing content drafts)
SATP and Creative Saskatchewan capture and edit all content needed for the promotional video. Participating theatres will be expected to provide any additional information needed (such as digital show posters, cast and crew credits, company logos, etc.)
Participating theatres and SATP must approve the final content before it is posted or shared. Once approved, content will be shared across SATP’s and the participating theatre’s platforms.\
Example projects include features of unique aspects of a production (such as live foley or projection design), interviews with cast or creative team members, walk throughs of the set, etc. This program is customizable, and we look forward to helping showcase your unique production!
PLEASE NOTE:
-There is no extra cost to take part in this program if you are an organizational member of SATP.
-We will NOT at this time be using any of our financial resources to boost these posts or turn them into ads on Meta platforms. If this is something of interest to you, please let us know, and we can consider it for future iterations of the program.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Behind the Curtain prioritizes supporting productions without dedicated marketing staff. After that, applications will be accepted on a first come first serve until capacity is reached. If you’re a producer with an upcoming show who’s interested in starting the conversation, reach out to Jen (Graphic Design & Social Media Associate) jenf@sasktheatreprofessionals.ca
