SATP Memberships
As a member-based organization, we are our members.
We have created a Pay-What-You-Can system for both our individual plans (and an annual budget-based pricing structure for our organizational members) to offer as many payment options as possible for a variety of financial needs. We encourage you to choose what works best for you and reevaluate as your career evolves.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS
These are designed for individual artists or arts professionals.
All pricing options are a flat rate, renewed annually.
Pricing options are:

- $100
ORGANIZATIONAL/PRODUCER MEMBERSHIPS
These are made for organizations such as theatre companies of all budgets and sizes, non-profits that work for or in the performing arts, etc.
Pricing is based on your organization’s annual budget.
Pricing options are:
- $20 per year - Budget under $100,000
- $60 per year - Budget between $100,000-$1 million
- $120 per year - Budget over $1 million

Attend Gathering Series Events: A series of informal connection events to bring the theatre community together
Example: SATP’s World Theatre Day Gala, on or around World Theatre Day on March 27th. The 2027 gathering will take place in Regina after a beautiful gathering in Saskatoon in 2026.
Collective advocacy on your behalf to funding bodies and government agencies
5% discount on theatre merch purchased from SATP (keep a lookout for extra discounts throughout the year!)
E-Newsletter: Members Only - delivered 1-3 times a month
content includes updates from SATP, job postings/auditions, workshops, grant deadlines, producing opportunities and more
E-Newsletter: Performing Now - delivered on the 1st of each month
content includes a fairly comprehensive list of theatre and theatre-related performances in Saskatchewan for that month, with links for information and tickets

Attend TheatreCon (SATP’s bi-annual conference to support the growth and connection of the SK theatre community)
content includes workshops, info sessions, important updates, and lots of informal opportunities (sometimes with fun activities!) to connect with the theatre community

Hive-Mind Groups: Connect with others in the theatre industry to discuss relevant industry topics and support each other
Current Group - Saskatoon Producer Hive Mind includes:
organizations/producers that deal with a season of work annually,
and/or have a venue,
and/or pay their staff/artists involved
are based in Saskatoon and area
This group meets quarterly, in person
PLEASE NOTE: Opportunities for other Hive-Minds are available upon request. To inquire about joining or starting a group, contact Judith.
Coming soon: Access to SATP’s searchable membership database
Options to share about your artistic practice or your organization with the database will be given.
Members will be able to discover who is seeking work, what other community members’ practices are, and how to get in touch (all based on member approval given)
Coming soon: Access to resources posted on our website (podcasts, contract templates, workshop recordings, etc.)
Individuals (in addition to the benefits listed above)
Access to SATP’s programming at a reduced cost or for FREE
Mentorship Program: Currently in two program streams
Work with a mentor on developing a specific set of skills or on a project/production
Join a small cohort to learn together with a group Mentor
Workshop Series: Build and learn new skills
One-on-One Finance Consultations: with Martina of Backbeat Bookkeping, you’ll get a handle on your finances!

Access to Theatre Saskatchewan’s Hilda Allen Memorial Library, which houses over 3,000 scripts, reference materials, and out-of-print titles (for more details on how to access, contact Liz)
You can borrow materials in person in Regina, or book online and they’ll mail them out to you (and back!) free of charge!
Coming soon: Play Club: a book club that meets once a month, in person in Saskatoon and Regina, to read a play together and discuss it.
Producers/Organizations (in addition to the benefits listed above)
Promotional Support: Have the opportunity to have your shows listed in the provincial event calendar on SATP’s website and in SATP’s monthly newsletter: Performing Now
Organizational Visibility: Have your company/organization’s opportunities listed in SATP’s Members Only newsletter, read by 60-75% of our membership of over 200 individuals/orgs.
Options to include: call for artists, audition calls, job postings, skill development workshops, call for board members, etc.
SATP can provide connections upon request (ex. Looking for a scenic painter in Regina? Looking for non-binary actors in Saskatoon?)
Hive-Mind Groups: Connect quarterly with others in the theatre industry in person to discuss relevant industry topics and support each other

Access to a shared Google Calendar to input future production dates and see when other producers plan to run events.
NOTE: This calendar is not meant to “spill the beans” about upcoming seasons. It is a way to spread out productions to avoid duplication of opening nights, venue availability confusion, etc.
Coming April 2026: Promotional support through our Behind the Curtain Program
We put together a “behind the scenes” look at something unique on your production and add you as a collaborator when we post it on Instagram & Facebook. See our Instagram or Facebook for examples.
Coming soon: Have the opportunity to participate in collective and united advocacy efforts through SATP on issues that affect you and the theatre community
