SaskScapes: The Theatre Series
Hear Saskatchewan theatre artists tell their stories
SATP is proud to share a series of podcasts celebrating Saskatchewan theatre artists! SaskScapes: The Theatre Series, produced by performing artist and SATP member Kevin Power, will record the thoughts, perspectives, and stories of accomplished artists who call Saskatchewan home.
Yulissa Campos
An Ecuadorian actor and playwright now living in Saskatoon, pursued her Theatre degree at the University of Saskatchewan. She soon realized there was a distinct lack of performance options as a Latina woman - a vastly different experience than her artistic life growing up in Ecuador. Yulissa founded Ay Caramba! Theatre Company and celebrates the Latinx community by bringing to life characters that accurately portray her culture.

Henry Woolf
An actor, director, and theatre educator whose career spanned 60 years and the Atlantic Ocean, Henry Woolf grew up in Second World War-era England and was a close associate of iconic playwright Harold Pinter. A former professor in the theatre department at the University of Saskatchewan and director of the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival, his work and teaching have influenced innumerable young and emerging theatre artists.
Saskatchewan's theatre community said goodbye to a legend in 2021 with passing of actor, director, and theatre educator Henry Woolf. In January of 2021, SATP member Kevin Power sat down with Henry for an in-depth conversation about his career, his favourite memories, and his perspectives on our craft. Recorded for the very first episode of SATP's podcast series featuring Saskatchewan artists, this priceless archive is available to listen to below. If, like many of us, you never had the opportunity to meet or work with this giant among us, you are invited to meet him here. RIP and thanks for everything, Henry.
