Gathering Series
The Gathering series is exactly that - a series of small, casual gatherings, both in-person and online, for SATP members to meet, talk, commiserate, collaborate and connect with one another. These events may also offer opportunities for SATP members to connect and develop relationships with other industry supports and organizers. We want to give you opportunities to come together in unique ways to connect with your fellow artists, get to know new faces in the community, and grow together. This is your chance to get to know someone outside of a contract, in a group setting or in quiet conversation. This is your chance to build into the community that comes along with our industry.
We at SATP always feel the word ‘networking’ can sound a little stuffy and corporate, but the Gathering series aims to offer our members a chance to network in an accessible, enjoyable, and non-stuffy way.
This series will evolve as we learn from you, our members. So let us know if you loved something, or were struggling with a delivery method, etc. We will be trying different delivery methods, locations, and content this year to get feedback on what you need and benefit from most.

Coffee Club
Coffee Club is an informal way for theatre artists to connect with other folks working in their field (Or interested in working in that field!). Monthly theatre chats with a theme. That’s it. All are welcome! Buy a coffee, have a chat.
We’ll be hosting coffee clubs in Saskatoon, in Regina and online. Let us know if there are certain topics or fields you'd like to discuss OR certain coffee shops you'd like to meet at! Email lizw@sasktheatreprofessionals.ca with ideas or questions.
Play Club
Each month, we'll meet to read and discuss a play in a low-stakes, fun way. No RSVP necessary. And no preparation necessary! Each month's play will be announced closer to the event, and roles will be assigned randomly, dependent on numbers.
Inspired by a group (Readers' Theatre) started by Tyler Toppings, Avianna Hudym, and some other artists in Regina, we're creating our own version in Saskatoon, and coming alongside the Regina group to support them as they continue what they're doing.
The Saskatoon group will be led by Drew Mantyka, and will meet once a month to read a script, have some discussion, and eat some snacks. Details about the first Saskatoon play club coming soon!
THEATRE PRODUCERS HIVE MIND
Each quarter (roughly four times yearly) since December 2025, SATP has been hosting the Saskatoon Theatre Producers Hive Mind Meetings! The goal of the Theatre Producer’s Hive Mind is for SATP to find out how we can better support our member organizations, how we can advocate on their behalf, and how we can all support each other as organizations.We’ve had some wonderful conversations so far; topics have included sharing resources, scheduling shows around each other, and promoting theatre to non-theatre communities in the province.
