Gathering Series
Saskatchewan Association of Theatre Professionals presents
our 2025-2026 Gathering Series!
We’re so excited to launch this new initiative focused on coming together as a performing arts community.
The Gathering series is exactly that - a series of small, casual gatherings, both in-person and online, for SATP members to meet, talk, commiserate, collaborate and connect with one another. These events may also offer opportunities for SATP members to connect and develop relationships with other industry supports and organizers. We want to give you opportunities to come together in unique ways to connect with your fellow artists, get to know new faces in the community, and grow together. This is your chance to get to know someone outside of a contract, in a group setting or in quiet conversation. This is your chance to build into the community that comes along with our industry.
We at SATP always feel the word ‘networking’ can sound a little stuffy and corporate, but the Gathering series aims to offer our members a chance to network in an accessible, enjoyable, and non-stuffy way.
This series will evolve as we learn from you, our members. So let us know if you loved something, or were struggling with a delivery method, etc. We will be trying different delivery methods, locations, and content this year to get feedback on what you need and benefit from most.
GATHERING: Potential Mentorships
When: November 28, 2025 - 3:30-4:30 PM
Location: The Centre (C-SET) - Room 179, Riddell Centre, University of Regina (see below for directions)
Cost: FREE for members & non-members
Our first gathering will take place on November 28, 2025 in Regina, SK at 3:30pm. Join us for an hour of reconnecting with your community, hosted by C-SET (Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre) at the University of Regina in their beautiful space.
We’ll have a few activities to do as a group (don’t worry, they’re totally optional and we’ll explain exactly what we’re asking of you before you do it!) and then the rest of the hour will be for you to connect. Our low-key focus for this gathering is “potential mentorships.” So if you’re thinking you could use a mentor in your career, or you know you’ve got experience to share with others, bring that with you to this event!
There is no cost for this event, but we will have goodies for you if you let us know you’re coming! Simply email lizw@sasktheatreprofessionals.ca to say “I’m coming to the Gathering!” by November 26, 2025 at 11:59pm.
If you don’t get a chance to register but still want to come, please do!
Accessibility Information: Due to limited resources, there will not be a digital component to this event. We know this limits who can attend and we do plan to have some Gatherings in this series be virtual.
Directions: Enter into the main doors of the Riddell Centre. Once you enter the lobby, turn right. Take an immediate left through the navy set of double doors. Walk down this hallway until you reach room 179.
