Workshop Series

sATP presents
our 2025-2026 Workshop Series!

We are excited to bring you a variety of workshops this year to boost your skills, answer your burning questions, and teach you something you might not have had the opportunity to learn before. We will be trying different delivery methods, locations, and content this year to get feedback on what you, our members, need and benefit from most.

Member pricing: $10/workshop
Non-members: $40/workshop

Not a member of SATP yet, but want to be?

If finances are a barrier to your attendance, please contact judith@sasktheatreprofessionals.ca
If you can donate the fee for someone else to attend (a Pay-It-Forward Pass), we will have that option available when registration opens.

This series will evolve as we learn from you, our members. So let us know if you need to learn something, if you have something to share with the community, or if you know of someone who could teach SK artists a cool new thing or two. We will be trying different delivery methods, locations, and content this year to get feedback on what you need and benefit from most.

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS

Accessibility Struggles & Strategies with On Cue Performance Hub

When: February 10, 2026 - 7:30pm
Location:
Online
Cost:
$10 for SATP members, $40 for non-members

SATP is proud to present the next workshop in our Workshop Series in partnership with On Cue Performance Hub, based in Regina. This workshop will take place online and is open to both individuals and organizations. On Cue will be presenting on their work on accessibility strategies and the hurdles they have yet to overcome. Join us for their presentation and an engaging discussion about accessibility in the province on February 10, 2026, at 7:30 pm.

Since its inception in 2021, On Cue Performance Hub has counted among its fundamental aims the desire to open Regina stages and audiences to equity-deserving individuals. While they are not alone in striving for accessibility in their season of events, performances and workshops, the notion of “accessibility” is complex and the challenge of addressing its numerous implications has become apparent to them. They have come to believe the solution lies in sharing successes and failures, understanding that one organization cannot do it all, and in collaborating to develop accessibility skills and strategies.

On Cue brings experience to the table in providing support to audience members with disabilities (ESL, surtitles, relaxed performance, touch tours and audio description, etc.), and with these shared knowledge and skills, they hope to go beyond tokenism and make the performing arts community more open and welcoming of diversity for everyone. As with everything, there are challenges, including financial challenges and a lack of staff or volunteers to provide adequate support.

We hope that this discussion encourages connections between organizations and individuals to continue this work throughout the province and beyond.

This workshop will focus on these three questions:

  1. How can we work together to overcome these hurdles to access?

  2. How can we work accessibility into the rehearsal process in meaningful ways?

  3. How can we reach out to newcomer communities to truly diversify our audiences?
