On Cue Performance Hub (OCPH) and Dance Saskatchewan Inc.(DSI) together with supporting partners have continued the program, Recreating Community Together, which is a year-long program that helps the Saskatchewan community understand different cultures and address racism. The program includes activities like school programs, artist training, community events, and an arts and change conference.
One of the main events of the program is a community gathering featuring a live performance. This will take place on March 21, 5:30 PM - the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination at mâmawêyatitân centre (3355 6th Ave, Regina).
A group of artists from different backgrounds have created a show called "The Lost Child" through which they share their experiences about racism and colonization. This performance will highlight their strength and hope for a better future with more understanding between cultures and systems that support everyone. The evening will begin with the sharing of food from different cultures and end with a discussion with the artists.
Free of charge.
