The Saskatchewan Association of Theatre Professionals is seeking a Social Media & Design Associate as it continues to offer creative development and vocational support to a rapidly growing membership of live performing art practitioners and organizations across the province.
Formed in 2014 to represent the needs of Saskatchewan's theatre artists to government agencies, SATP has also developed programs and supports to further the development of individual artistic careers and support the efforts of Saskatchewan theatres and producing companies. Key initiatives have included our professional theatre mentorship program and the planning and development of TheatreCon, Saskatchewan's provincial conference for theatre practitioners and leaders.
SATP currently serves 217 members. This includes 14 organizations (producers, support organizations, etc.) and 199 individuals (theatre practitioners, actors, directors, designers, choreographers, arts educators, technicians, stage managers, etc.). With such a diverse membership, we continue to develop and iterate our programming and advocacy efforts to best serve our members' needs.
Our ideal candidate:
is passionate about the value and potential of the live performing arts in Saskatchewan;
has experience with photography, videography, and video editing, especially for social media;
has experience with managing social media platforms;
has experience with Canva or Adobe products and has a firm grasp of graphic design essentials, and
has knowledge of Meta advertising tools and strategies.
The Social Media & Design Associate’s duties include:
Consulting with the Executive Director & Communication & Programs Coordinator on a weekly basis to craft content schedules, maintain best practices on social media, and create engaging content for SATP’s membership and network.
Crafting graphics for SATP’s use on social media, website, and newsletter communications to members
Creating and/or editing custom video content for SATP’s use on social media
